Position: Manager-Liability Claim
Community Health Systems (CHS) is one

the sole provider of healthcare services. Headquartered in a suburb south
of
CHS has an immediate opening for a
Manager of Liability Claims at our corporate headquarters in
· Supervision of professional and general liability claims files, including assessment of liability, case reserves, developmental/approval of defense strategy, direction of negotiations, etc.
· Supervision of
outside claims adjusters and attorneys.
· Establishment of files and
implementation of Community Health Systems’ protocol for potentially compensable
events, claims and litigation.
· Prepare and submit reports to obtain
settlement authority.
· Complete documents necessary for
compliance with insurance reporting requirements, etc.
· Provide assistance to hospital Risk
Managers during critical and sentinel event analysis.
Required Education/Experience:
· Bachelor Degree in related field.
· Must have 3-5 years experience in
direct supervision of professional liability claims/litigation.
·
Experience in healthcare field
preferred.
· Data base computer experience preferred.
·
General insurance knowledge a plus.
